How the number is worked out
It counts one leak: calls to your business that nobody picks up. It starts from how many leads you get a month and what an average job is worth to you. Leave either blank and it uses your trade's average instead.
From there it uses published industry figures. About 27% of calls to a home-service business go unanswered (Contractor In Charge / Aira). Of the people who do get a person inside five minutes, 41.5% book (LocaliQ). The estimate assumes a fast callback wins back some of the missed calls, some booked jobs don't turn up, and you close at your trade's usual rate. Every assumption is listed next to the result, so nothing is hidden.
What it leaves out
It is a fraction of the real number. It can't see what your website does with a visitor, where you rank in each town you work, how long an enquiry really waits for a reply, what happens to the quotes that go quiet, or what your ads return.
